1. What are Payroll Reports?

Payroll report is a report showing a standardized summary and information after the calculation of payroll instructions in each pay run. Payroll reports are generated each cycle after all instructions in the month are taken into account and calculated. The payroll report is submitted to clients after all calculations are confirmed, and clients confirm the reports by marking them as completed.

2. Access to Payroll Report

  1. Go to the sidebar and select Payroll
  2. Click Payroll Reports
  3. The payroll report list will show up

3. Payroll Report Basics

3.1. Types of Payroll Report

There are recurring and ad-hoc types of payroll reports.

  • Recurring: Payroll report that is generated monthly
  • Ad-hoc: Payroll report that is generated on request

3.2. Status of Payroll Report

Status is shown for each report for a payrun.

  • Submitted: Report has been fully submitted, but clients or admins have not marked as completed yet.
  • Completed: Users or end clients have marked report as completed.

Note For reports with the status β€œSubmitted” and β€œCompleted”, there is View Report button leading to the uploaded report page.

4. Access Payroll Report Data

You can access the report data for reports with the status of "Submitted” and β€œCompleted”.

The report data can be accessed 2 ways:

  1. Click ... in the Quick Access column, and click View Report data

5. Payroll Report Pages

Theses are main tabs on the View Report page:

  • Overview: This is the main page where you can see all the payroll data relevant for this cycle. Overview of the report showing the cost of each employee per category.
    • You can export the payroll report by clicking Export Excel or Export CSV

  • Mapping Validations: Validations of the data β€œtotal” mapped from an Excel template. Hovering over the value will reveal instruction details, and if there are any differences for invalid entries, they will be displayed in red.

  • Instruction vs Report: The differences between instruction and report.

  • Variance: The differences compared to the selected report.

  • Uploaded Entries: A list of each value of cash flow in a line.

6. Mark and Unmark Complete Report

Only reports with the status β€œSubmitted” can be marked as complete. Once you reviewed the payroll report and found you’re in agreement with it, please mark it as completed.

To mark complete a report,

  1. Click View of the desired report with the status β€œSubmitted"
  2. Click View Report
  3. Click Mark Complete

To unmark complete a report,

  1. Click View of the desired report with the status β€œCompleted”
  2. Click View Report
  3. Click Unmark Complete
