Manage payroll providers

Payroll providers play an important role in the financial management of businesses by offering a range of payroll-related services that can help simplify the payroll process and reduce the administrative burden on businesses. 1. What Are Payroll Providers

Payroll provider manages payroll and publishes payroll reports in payruns. There can be more than one payroll provider in the system.

Example Site admin adds Boston Group as a payroll provider. Boston Group will appear in a drop-down list for payroll provider selection of every payrun.

2. Access Payroll Providers

  1. Go to the sidebar and select Payroll
  2. Click Payroll Providers
  3. The payroll provider table will show up

3. Create New Payroll Provider

There are 2 ways to create new payroll providers: a. Add New Payroll Provider Directly and b. Upload Payroll Providers

a. Add New Payroll Provider Directly

The first way is adding a new payroll provider directly on the browser.

  1. Click Create New Payroll Provider
  2. Set name (e.g. New Payroll Provider)
  3. image
  4. Click Save
  5. The new payroll provider will show up in the table

b. Upload Payroll Providers

It is possible to create multiple payroll providers in Excel and bulk upload.

  1. Download Payroll Provider Template. The template can be downloaded here

  1. Fill out the excel file (e.g. Name: Johnson Payroll, Boston Group)

Here is an example file for you to test uploading

  1. Click ... then click Upload Payroll Providers

  3. Choose your file and upload
  4. The new payroll providers will show up in the table

4. View Payroll Providers

  1. Click anywhere on the row of a payroll provider that you want to view (e.g. Boston Group)
  2. The selected payroll provider details will show up

⚠️
Warning Users cannot edit or archive payroll provider, please be careful before adding a new payroll provider.

5. Search Payroll Providers

You can search payroll providers to display in the table

  1. Click Payroll Providers
  2. Type the name to search (e.g. 123)
  3. Payroll providers that match the input will show up
  4. image

6. Sort Payroll Providers

The table can be sorted alphabetically by name in descending and ascending order.
